Storage: Keep salchichón in a cool, dry
place, ideally hung in a well-ventilated
area. Once opened, wrap it in cling film
or store in an airtight container in the
fridge.
Cutting: For best results, slice salchichón
thinly at room temperature.
Pairings: While delicious on its own,
salchichón also works wonderfully in
sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and other
dishes. Serve with cheese, olives, bread,
wine, or other beverages.
Our oldest charcuterie
Although often underestimated,
salchichón has been part of ou
r cuisine
since Greek and Roman times. Our
version is the truest to our identity,
mountains, and culture, with a robust,
characterful flavor sourced from local
Castilla y León pigs.
